And the silos are ... !!!
Today was an exciting day: we unveiled the silos that will make up the Popsilos circuit! A committee that included representatives from the tourism industry, agricultural community, the United Counties of Prescott-Russell and Popsilos co-producers Activar and A’shop, selected the winning silos. Here goes:
1. The Michel Dignard et Jeannette Mongeon Farm at 591 St-Guillaume Street in Embrun (Russell)
2. The Ben-Rey-Mo ltd at 127, Principale Street in St-Albert (The Nation)
3. Horses By Hannah at 8 road 600 in Casselman (The Nation)
4. The Ouimet Farms Adventure at 63 Main Street West in Vankleek Hill (Champlain)
5. The Vankleek Hill Vineyard at 3725 county road 12 in Vankleek Hill (Hawkesbury East)

The choice of silos was challenging. Many variables such as the surface and location of the silos on site, in relation to other silos and major roadways were taken into account. In the end, we are excited to announce that five silos amongst ten submissions were selected. The total surface area to be painted on the selected silos makes it possible for a fifth silo to be produced. One of the most wonderful things this project has made possible for us thus far is the opportunity to meet with producers. What a warm welcome! What forward-thinking minds! What can we say? We are smitten.
